My name is Laura Villegas, and I was born in a small town in Venezuela. I am the mother of three wonderful children: Sophia, Nicolle, and Emiliano. I was fortunate to be raised by exceptional parents; my dad taught me the importance of hard work, while my mom instilled in me humility and the value of caring for others.

I consider myself a determined, committed, adventurous person—and sometimes a bit of a wild child. I deeply value time with my family, which is what led me to start Sugary Times Bakery. I wanted to find a way to stay close to my loved ones without giving up on my dream of becoming an entrepreneur, and that’s how I discovered my true passion.

Although I’m a self-taught baker and have honed my skills in my home kitchen through trial and error, studying culinary arts formally is on my to-do list!

I started this project in 2018 as a hobby, and over time I’ve discovered some wonderful aspects of it. I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible people and get to know those who, over time, have become friends—both clients and students. As time went on, I realized that, in addition to enjoying creating desserts and unique pieces, I love teaching what I’ve learned. That’s how my passion for leading workshops was born.

I’m very open and I like to share my knowledge without holding anything back. Teaching fills me with motivation and energy, especially when I see my students start to develop their own projects and dreams with a little help from me.
